MARTHA AVENUE-Day 25- Early morning run to Restaurant Depot for more flour. It's official. We have turned the corner into full-on bakery/pasta factory. I currently have 4 different 50lb sacks of various flour in big tubs in my kitchen. It's kind of hilarious.
First delivery to Jeri Lynn. So good to see her and Julia-Rose. These kids just grow into actual humans, it's crazy. Lovely catch-up distance chat on the sidewalk/stoop. Feeling very grateful to have this excuse to see folks and beam love through our eyes only.
East Bay day which means a visit with the Potterr/Weiss' and with Heidi and Megan... a virtual (actually literal) love-fest on the sidewalk. With Becky and the little girls talking through the window, and Megan's darling kids talking from the inside of their car and Megan and Heidi and I all standing 15' apart, masked and gloved. But still the love-fest reigned. So nice to have such good friends.
Next stop, Sharon who lavished me with herbs from her garden. You can bet we will be putting them to good use!
And then, Brady and Alexandra... we had an amazing conversation about zoom technology, winter vs. spring energy and cortisol/adrenal fatigue (more on that tomorrow) and how to bring sad orchids back to life. Again, feeling pretty lucky to have this excuse to see folks. And just to reassure again, all deliveries are handled in a hands-free, gloved and masked, strict covid-kosher way.
Looking at adding more Spring items to the menu in the next week or so, but in the meantime, here is what we are offering for the rest of the week. Two Vegan Soups, the crazy good Pozole, all the pasta and sauces, two different breads and more sweets.
I hope this evening brings you all some peace and some space to rest. I know I am looking forward to an early night myself!
Orders for Friday pick up/delivery in SF, should be placed by tonight or tomorrow noontime. If you know you want something for next week, you can order anytime. We just keep a big list on the refrigerator of what is coming up!
Take care. Be kind to yourself. Hug your people. Hug them twice, once for me. xoxo
